NHL Awards Voting
Take on the role of a media member and vote on who you think should win the NHL awards! These are the awards you can vote on:
Calder Trophy: “Given to the player selected as the most proficient in his first year of competition in the NHL.” Voted on using a ranked ballot of 5 players which is scored on a 10-7-5-3-1 basis.
Hart Trophy: “Given to the player judged to be the most valuable to his team.” Voted on using a ranked ballot of 5 players which is scored on a 10-7-5-3-1 basis.
Vezina Trophy: “Given to the goalkeeper adjudged to be the best at this position.” Voted on using a ranked ballot of 3 goalies which is scored on a 5-3-1 basis.
Norris Trophy:“Given to the defenseman who demonstrates throughout the season the greatest all-round ability in the position.” Voted on using a ranked ballot of 5 players which is scored on a 10-7-5-3-1 basis.
Selke Trophy: “Given to the forward who best excels in the defensive aspects of the game.” Voted on using a ranked ballot of 5 players which is scored on a 10-7-5-3-1 basis.
Jack Adams Trophy: “Presented to the coach adjudged to have contributed the most to his team’s success.”Voted on using a ranked ballot of 3 coaches which is scored on a 5-3-1 basis.
And two extra awards (these aren’t official NHL awards, but they should be)…
Most Improved:“Given to the player judged to be the most improved compared to his previous performance in the NHL.” Voted on using a ranked ballot of 5 players which is scored on a 10-7-5-3-1 basis.
Bounce-back Player of the Year:“Given to the player judged to have had the most extraordinary bounce-back season.” Voted on using a ranked ballot of 5 players which is scored on a 10-7-5-3-1 basis.
